Support Groups...
Support groups bring people together to share and receive support for the everyday as well as very traumatic challenges presented in our lives. What better way to engage with others who share a common bond? Along with this sharing comes understanding, a sense of belonging, and tools for problem-solving. Research confirms that the coming together of people in troubled times serves to increase self-esteem, decrease anxiety and depression, and raise levels of overall well-being.
At Old Mill Center for Children and Families all our support groups are facilitated by trained professionals. Fees are based on ability to pay or through insurance eligibility; some scholarships are available. Groups are ongoing. For a list of current groups and times, please see this quarter's newsletter, or contact the Center at 541-757-8068 for dates and times of the group in which you are interested.
